OYO Instruments designs, manufactures and supports the most cost effective wide format (up to 54" wide) imagesetters available today. Our equipment is in use around the world making film positives and film negatives for printing applications as diverse as fleet graphics, corrugated printing, flexographic printing, newspapers, POP displays, fine art, posters, banners, nameplates, control panels, labels and textile printing.

OYO produces three lines of imagesetters, each line offering a different price/performance trade off. The Liberator GS Series offers widths of 18, 24 and 42 inches, at resolutions of 400x400 and 400x800 dpi, with high quality imaging at up to 55 lpi. The Liberator GMax Series is produced in widths of 18, 28, 36, 42 and 54 inches at 600x600  or 600x1200 with excellent image quality at up to 65 lpi. The Liberator XE Series comes in widths of 18, 28, 36, 42, and 54 inches at 600x600 and 600x1200 dpi, with proprietary screening technology built in to provide imaging at up to 85 lpi. In all cases, only the film roll length (200 feet) limits the length of the output image.

We offer Harlequin core RIPs on all our products, for industrial strength software solutions. Our high end RIP includes advanced film saving features, SpeedScreens for high lpi imaging, and Impression Screens for those applications that will benefit from stochastic techniques.

A unique feature of OYO's thermal imagesetters is Direct Film Imaging: no darkroom, no processor, and no chemicals. Our EPA friendly, chemistry-free, dry imaging ThermoImpression film requires no fixers, developers, inks or toners, and offers UV densities that exceed industry standards.
